My youngest step daughter(7) have the same personality as her mom(hubby ex wife). It can be very challenging to deal with her bcuz she would lie, n be aggressive to get what she wants (even towards me n my son(6). So when hubby go to work when they are here she try to go against what her dad say n I'm the one who have to put her in check. Their mom told them that they don't have to do what I tell them to do or respect me. N yes she was the one who gave me the most issues BUT now she is better but still she try to get over on me n my son. I can't treat them like my own bc I can really discipline mine but can only just be stern with them n of course call hubby if it too bad. I'm just venting alittle bc the youngest one act too much like her mom which me n her mom can't stand each other. I don't by no means take it out on them but that young one is so like her it kills me some times I do teach her the best way I can on how to treat me n my home but her mom gets mad bc I don't give her her way when she is here I treat as equals except when it comes to disciplining.
