Just when you think you've got everything under control it all comes falling apart. We are so unstable right now. Baby is coming in two days, we have nothing but cans of food, we have rent due in 5 days and we are 100 short after Joe gets paid. We took out a loan last month thinking we wouldn't have a problem paying it back but here we are. I wish Joe hadn't gotten fired from his second job, the reasoning is because they wanted him to do everything in the store, rather than just dishes, delivering pizzas, and folding boxes they wanted him making pizzas too. Which he didn't do or felt like it was his job to. Hes applying for other jobs but I don't know what's going to happen. I haven't felt this depressed in a long time.. I just hope Itll all be okay.

Damn that's a heck of a lot of things they wanted him to do...was it a small place he worked at? Or a busy place?

I had that at one point as well i worked at a restaurant as a waitress and when they didnt have a dish washer i had to wash dishes clean the bathrooms the buffet table make the dough for the bread cut up things clean the tables vacuum the dining room floor finally i had enough and quit

@bluepenguin its somewhat busy. He worked at the papa johns. @first-time-mom he is such a good worker too.. He always did his job he just wasnt going to do everything in the store being paid minimum wage when people are being paid way more to do exactly that. His boss knows we are having a baby too. Like wtf. They just wiped him off the schedule then his boss had the nerve to tell him he doesn't need somebody who comes in at 7pm who wont help on make line. Like that's not his damn job. He would stay till 1am at times to make sure he got his shit done. Its so frustrating they can just be like that.

@bluepenguin yea that would be him doing everything in the store but managing people. He told the managers he wouldn't help make the pizzas unless its super busy. There were two female managers that complained to the boss about it. He said the expected him to jump on make line when an order came up rather than getting his dishes or cleaning the lobby, stuff like that. Im a little upset he couldn't just do it but I understand where he is coming from. He shouldn't have to do everything in the store when he was only a delivery driver. It just sounds like to me they need more cooks.

@newmommyathenia definitely, I work in the carry out part of my restaurant, and our delivery drivers just deliver with an exception that one of our guys helps if it's super busy but that's nothing more than grabbing their already bagged food for them or a piece of bread or a plastic fork. We have our pizza makers, cooks, salad maker, dish washers etc. That's why it sounds so outrageous! Definitely sounds like they need more workers and feel sorry for the next person in that position when those managers expect the next one to do all the work too. Can't you complain to the company about unfair treatment?
