@jordanmartin1732, They found an echogenic bowel on my 20w ultrasound. This is associated with trisomy 21(Down syndrome) because I'm only 20 years old, they are concerned why there would be such complications. I was going to do that amnio to give me a yes or no answer before I ran out of time to make a decision. I've changed my mind, and decided to go with bloodwork instead.
@miacarty97 I had a 1 in 209 chance (-1%) of baby having DS trisomy 18. I opted to do blood work as well, instead of an amino. My results came back negative. I hope the same for you ❤
I had it done many years ago with my son. If I would have known all the risks I wouldn't have done it. They though he had spina bifida, which he didn't. I remember it was uncomfortable and I got a little nauseous.

I've had one with my son it can cause miscarriage/ Stillborn I wish my doctor would have told me I lost my baby boy a week after I did the test 😥

If they were to ask me again I would not do it. They did it to run test of their own because I had to many complications
