Lmao I'm type one diabetic. Usually if you don't eat a lot of sugar, starches, pasta or breads then your baby will be normal size. However I was on a strict diet and still had a 9 pound 11 ounce baby. She was a c section at 37 weeks because she was measuring 10 pounds and my frame was too small for vaginal. Plus she was breech. But my son was born at 34 weeks and he was barely 4 pounds. Every pregnancy is different. Just stick to a good diet and next ultrasound they will take babies measurements to tell you. As far as induction they don't let diabetes patients have babies past 39 weeks. Or they don't like to because of a high risk for placenta aging. But it depends on your obgyn and hospital you deliver at
@gabriela_duque18, with gestational diabetes they SHOULD give you another at like 32 weeks. They should take babies measurements more frequently now. But I'm not too sure since I'm type one. I had growth scans every month until 6 months then I had them every 2 weeks until my scheduled c section
Nope they'll monitor baby's growth my son was estimated. 9-10lbs came out 7lbs 9 oz just watch the carbs and sugar and you'll be ok (don't cut the carbs completely out though)

This isn't necessarily true. My best friend had GD with both of her children and delivered vaginally.
