
Tips for Traveling with Toddlers • A couple of weekends ago this brave (slightly crazy) momma took both of my toddlers on a weekend getaway alone. This was not my first solo trip with my children but it was my first since my son became a very active walker, runner, and climber. I did my best to prepare for this little adventure and specifically for our time in the hotel room. Will your Mom be in the delivery room?
My mom made it sound like she was gonna be in the delivery room when I give birth, and quite frankly, I would just like it to be me and my fiancé. It's our first, and I want to share that special moment with just him. I don't want to hurt her feelings, and I know this is something she would really like to be a part of. So I feel bad telling her no.
My world stopped
I was changing the laundry over and my husband went to use the restroom. Our 20 month was in the room with our 10 year old and climbed up on the bed and fell, face first, landing on her head. Our bed is three feet off the ground and our son said she was standing up, so roughly a five foot fall. I ran into the room and she was unresponsive. She didn't take her first breath for 45 seconds. How does one even go about organizing 300 samples?! Hmmm...maybe I could put some in my hospital bag? I keep these for when I travel and hate hotel soap and shampoos 😖
