My son is 18 months and still in a crib... the past 3 nights he has screamed and won't go to sleep in his crib he wants to sleep with us... is it time to put him in a toddler bed maybe beside our bed? I just need advice lol

@sigrit.smith12, he was fine in his own bed lastnight so I think it's cause he's not feeling good because he doesn't understand that he's having a little brother yet but when kids are constantly around me he's fine with it or if I'm holding little babies he tries to help and stuff he loves other kids and babies he's never been jealous

Might be worried about the new baby too. I have been nanny for 5+ years and last family I worked for had a toddler and a baby. First when I started toddler was almost 2 years old and mom was pregnant. First she did not know that she is pregnant, but after stomach started growing and mom was not so much fun to be with she started acting weird. Being mean to her mom and trying to get lot of attention, because she did not like the idea mom not running after her anymore. After the baby was born first she was fine, because she did not know that baby gone stay in their house, but when she figured that out she started doing all sorts of crazy things and also trying to sleep with her parents again to make sure she gets more attention then the baby. Before the baby was born she was fine sleeping in her own room, so I don't know it might be jealousy too.

@blessedmommy01, yeah I personally don't think there's anything wrong with them sleeping with you from time to time.. My son is actually in our bed tonight.. Well he went to sleep in his but woke up with a nightmare and wanted his daddy so of course something like that we're definitely gonna let him sleep with us.. And in your case your little man is uncomfortable and just wants mommy 😊 nothing wrong with that!

@sigrit.smith12, we used to cosleep with him from 8-11 months and he adjusted well to his crib and has done great ever since, but he doesn't even want to take naps in it he would rather be on the couch on his own.. plus he's getting his molars in so I think that may be causing him to want comforted more cause he's not feeling well

@tyoungdeer, same with him lol he doesn't do it all of the time and usually hates sleeping with anyone else and will only want his crib but he's seeming not to like it but he doesn't climb out or even try

The moment toddler gets to your room or bed, they never gone leave. Kids are smart, they figure things out fast. So if you don't want to have your kid sleep with you, for long period of time you need to keep him in his own room.
