Happens in my family all the time! But i always put them in their place. I'm on baby number 3 and throughout all my pregnancys i always hear gow they dont like it, then we the baby arrives they love the name. Its like wtf, you literally hated it before.

Choose whatever name you want. If they don't like it to bad. It's not their child so they have no right to say anything about it. I don't usually tell the name to anybody but Im usually open to suggestions on names from family.

With my second i hurt my mom in laws fillings because i wouldn't pass down her familys name tradition. Long story short, I'm completely against naming my children after someone. I don't feel as if its unique if someone else already has it. It took her a while to accept that.

That's what I did I wanted unique and not something I'm gonna hear all the time and she got mad at me lol but she'll get over it

That's how everyone is with name we picked out, they keep throwing different names out. We love the name we picked out. It isn't used a lot and it's unique
