Well.. that went horrible. Tried going to 24 hr fitness, and tried the child daycare there. I didn't even workout for 5 mins, when a worker came and got me and said my daughter is crying uncontrollably non-stop. 😩💔😭 When I went to get her, she was sweating, had a runny nose from crying, and was screaming for me. 🤦♀️😔 I had to get her and walk out immediately. My heart 💔 I don't know how the hell she's going to start daycare... I feel like they'll call me to come get her too.. It was sooo bad! 😩 (P.S. I'm a stay at home mommy, and she's never been in daycare, so I figured she MAY cry for a bit when I left her.. I just didn't expect her to be nearly hyperventilating when I came to get her :()

She will cry but get use to it. They know how to handle it at daycare. They won't call you because she's crying.

My son loves daycare. He's learned A LOT. Including how to share and a lot of words too

Honestly, they have more experience with that kind of thing at an actual daycare. Most of the time, the kid will stop crying after a little bit. I used to work in daycares so I know.

@diegosmommy0213 back to work. I have to work and put her in daycare by December because it's in my contract! I'm living off food stamps and cash aid right now so in December, it's mandatory that I work so I can end my cash aid. :(

My sister stayed home with my nephew til he was a little over a year. He is 2 now and still cries when she drops him off on some days. When he first started he would FREAK out so bad and by the time she got him he was fine. It's just an adjustment for them. It's rough at first but definitely gets easier.

No problem. I know it's tough but I promise the child care workers are well versed in it. It's normal for a toddler to react that way after being with you all this time and then having to go with someone else out of the blue. I recommend that in the week or two leading up to when she would start, you go with her and stay the day with her for about an hr or so for like maybe breakfast or circle time so she can warm up to her teachers and classmates. That way she won't feel like she's being left in an unfamiliar place with people who are essentially strangers to her.
