I agree with @vannahjam14 .. similar bump was behind my fiance's ear a couple years ago and turned out to be a swollen lymph node!

I'd take him to get checked out before the appt .

@marieebaby All I really know is we have lymph nodes all over our bodies and it's usually never good if one is swollen! My fiance had a swollen lymph node in the same area and also had another one near his groin area.. They ran tons of tests, found out he had an infection throughout his body, a severe one that caused alot of stuff, he was losing weight, getting headaches and having swollen lymph nodes! Now that was just what happened to him, they were able to cure his infection with antibiotics! It could be different for your son, I'm not sure only because I don't know much about them! I would suggest checking the rest of his body and possibly even taking him into the ER! Just to be sure that everything is okay.

@tayler, yeah that's what I'm going to do it's been the same size for a long time idk if it's cause he sweat a lot at night but I read how you can get them if it's infection it's nothing like serious ?

Lymph node just have it checked my kids has them all down his neck

@marieebaby Yeah I wouldn't say it was serious unless he had a whole bunch of swollen lymph nodes! Does he complain about any kind of pain in that area?

@tayler, nope I touched it to see if it hurts or anything but he didn't cry or try to move my hand it's only that one behind his ear

@marieebaby, no not unless they find a problem like ear infections they just said as long as it moves around it's fine kids especially toddlers get those things a lot

My son had 2 of these on his neck till he was about 1 years old and then they went away, his doctor said it was nothing to worry about
