Brown blood is usually dead blood cells. A lot of women have that in the first days and last days of their period. From my research of different types of birth control I would say that spotting every day or often on bc is very common and not life threatening... unless you have severe clots and other symptoms

@vvrobinson, it brown the whole time I have my period it's never red now and no clots or other symptoms

Mine did that with the Mirena IUD.

@anmarie1, yeah I would assume it's just how your blood is. I honestly don't think anything is wrong. Bc does crazy things to the body, unless you're hurting or have other horrible things I think you're ok. But I'm not a doctor, I just don't see a reason to worry yet 🤷🏼‍♀️

For the last 2 days or so, it was normal for me. The first and second day was usually heaviest and red when I got my period.

@rainbow-baby, mines never red or even heavy it's brown and not light but not heavy and it the whole period it's brown
