Yeah I have issues with the hormones in birth control so I don't use it I tried the pill and implant and hated both but yes being on birth control for a while can mess things up and make it a little more difficult to get pregnant

@beebaby thanks for your reply, that's my whole thing I know it's not natural but what I don't get is why the doctor can't be like it's okay for a little while to be on it but don't make it a long-term thing because this can happen and that can happen..but I was like I will give it a shot again because I have three children I had my first in 2012 2nd in 2014 and a son and 2015.. and after I had my son I had problem with my body regulating the normal cycle because I got the Depo the day I was supposed to go home from the hospital and that through my body wayy off for 6 months I bleed heavy and at my 6 week checkup I got the IUD the Implanon worst thing ever so I kept that in 4 I think a 4 months maybe a little more it didn't make anything any better so that's when me and the doctor decided that I would do the NuvaRing to try to get my body back on track and it's been a year and some month. plus my fiance doesn't like to pulling out that's why I kept it this long normally I don't

It's not really likely with just a year. Usually it's like five or more years I've heard that

I've had the Depo that doesn't work for me I've had the Implanon that doesn't work for me the pill I will forget about so that doesn't work for me only thing I thought they had worked for me was the NuvaRing but now it seems like that it may not be the one.. this thing had me thinking I was pregnant I had knee surgery last month so I had to discontinue my birth control had my period like 4 days after that. after that I had unprotected sex for a whole month last week and the week before that I started spotting pink that will go away went to the doctor did a blood work pregnancy test came back negative and I'm guessing all of this is because some of the medicine is still in my system from the birth control.. so I got the okay to continue to use the birth control so what I was going to do was use the last two rings that I have and then after that that my body go back to being natural without birth control. I just don't know if the damage is already done..

@ecahanes thanks for your reply, well good to know. My sister was on the Depo for about 10 years and she's been off for quite some time but she can't seem to get pregnant. so I don't know if it's because of the birth control is it because of something else she's doing but I just didn't want to be like that and I was told that the NuvaRing was one of the best things because you have it in for 3 weeks have your . Will that one week then you put a new ring in so that's why I liked it.. I heard that it your system quickly unlike some of the other birth controls.

@beebaby is crazy because every time I have a baby grandmother is in my ear talking about I need to get my tubes tied she did it after five kids..I honestly don't want my tubes tied I don't even want them bent.. would like to have one more child one day but no time soon. But if it happens I'll embrace it because kids are a blessing but I just think I'm ready for my body to be normal again at least when it's normal again I would be able to tell when my cycle coming. how long it's going to be and all that stuff that comes along with it. Thought about getting a hysterectomy but in all honesty can't go through with it one day I'm going to want another child..

@ecahanes okay so basically everything is still the same you have your period every month nothing is different except you can't get pregnant because of the birth control?

@theirmommytiara, i think my period was back to bieng abnormal after 3 months. Pill never changed my moodiness, like most women claim it does. I didnt have sex for nearly 18 months tho. Best bet is to ask your Obgyn
