Will My Brother Grow Up Now That He's Going to Be a Dad?
Found out my brother is having his first baby. This makes me an aunt of 11 and I don't know but I'm not excited for him. All three of my older siblings have done nothing but continue to make poor choices in their lives. Five of my nieces has a mother who's a druggie and is living in a shelter because my sister is more focused on a guy than her 5 girls. My other sister she use to be a druggie and has put her 5 kids through hell but now she's turned her life around. My brother has been nothing but an immature child (although he's 3 years older than me). He can't even have an argument with his girlfriend without getting the cops called on him. He too use to do drugs. I mean he still smokes weed and drinks like no other. So how can I be excited when all my siblings have done nothing but been irresponsible choices and the 10 nieces and nephews I have have already had a tough life. It's hard to be excited when my siblings tell me their having another child. A child should be something that's celebrated. That child should be their number one priority. That child should be protected, loved, and shown what it's like to be a kid. Will my brother finally grow up now that he's going to be a dad. I don't know. All I know is I'm not excited I'm concerned for this unborn child. For this baby that isn't even born. Will this child be given the life it deserves or have a fucked up life like the rest of them. For crying out loud him and his girlfriend just started dating a few months ago and my brother is still in love with his last girlfriend.
