I have a step sister who has a teen son and a 5 year old girl. So in marriage I am an aunt. But my half sister is pregnant with a girl...and I feel more excited to be an aunt with her than I did when my step sister was pregnant with her youngest. I feel so bad about it but I can't help but think "omg I'm gonna be an aunt!".

Don't feel bad, it's your sister, step siblings are family but it's not that same bond you have with blood. As long as you don't favor the kids I think it's ok to be a bit more excited.

Thank you lol. I'm gonna try not to play favorism but it's hard to see my 5 yo niece since they are traveling the U.S and my half sister lives down the road lol

Don't feel bad. Good friends of our had a baby and I was like... Kinda Gonna be aunt :). Then my sister in law got pregnant and I was like kinda got a nephew :). But then my sister got pregnant shortly before me and I was like first time aunties together !! :D you still love them all and you'll always be their aunt, you just have a longer, closer connection to your half sister. More amp up time dreaming of it
