I used to get infections like that all the time. Doc said not to have sex until you're done taking all of the medicine and it has cleared up.

So sex is a no go. You can make it a whole lot worse for yourself or spread it to your partner. Believe me, I know. Lol its horrible.

@juliaschade41, oh wow really? They never said anything like that. Glad I haven't. Lol. He's wanting to have sex Sunday, his next day off. And like I said tomorrow is my last day for antibiotics. Seven days worth. So that's a good time? I wanted to wait like a week just to be sure. I've never dealt with anything but a UTI. So I have no clue. Never even had a yeast infection.

@brianne oh i thought you just started your antibiotic. Yeah if you're done with it, then by this Sunday it should be okay to have sex. If you're still having the symptoms though, I wouldn't.

Yes you should not have sex, sex can cause your infection to get worse

@juliaschade41, well my symptoms are already gone. It was a smelly itchy discharge. And it's been gone for about a day now. He's just getting me worked up. I'm trying to threaten no sex for a couple weeks. But I'm entirely too weak for that. 😂😂

@beebaby, that sounds more likely than "it's not sexually transmitted" which is the only thing my OB told me.

Yeah. It is just the disruption of your normal vaginal flora. Sometimes introducing new things like a condom or your SO cleaning himself with a new soap can do that.
