women who have given birth w/ epidural & naturally, which one do you prefer & which one would you recommend?

Natural. By the time you can't handle the pain any more it is over. They had to keep giving me the epidural and the last one kinda over did it. Couldn't walk for 2 days. Got an infection from the catheter. Just overall didn't care for it but it took all the pain away for sure. I felt like I was floating. My body could rest.

I'd rather do it naturally, I tried to go as far as I could without epidural, I now have had backpack from it but everyone doesn't. I went 12 hours without epidural, but I also had pitocin, because my water broke and contractions wouldn't start, so my contractions were so hard and fast and eventually started burning in my stomach lower back and thighs I couldn't take it anymore. I had stalled at 5/6cm so I opted for epidural, but next time I'll try to go completely natural if applicable

Natural. I hated the process of getting an epidural and it wore off by the time I pushed. Next time I will not use it at all

Natural is always better but lol I me some drugs . Jk, but I tried doing it as far as I can without meds but it's easier said then done . It's the most painful thing in the entire world so no judgment to those who get meds and kudos to those who don't !

Epi for sure. I went most of my labor without and looking back I mean why deal with the pain if you don't have to. It helped me relax and I actually stalled out until I got my epi right before delivery.

I had an epidural but I recommend natural cause you still feel everything

I've had a natural birth and epidural.. I would say have the epidural lol but mine wore off as soon as I started to push so I felt all of that!

I try my hardest to go without it and been successful but things happen. My sil did natural for two and her third she needed a c section. You just never know.

I had an epidural after 12 hours of labor. The epidural only worked on my right side and when they took it out they seen that the line was kinked and that's why it only worked on the one side. Thankfully I did have it though because they had to manually turn her and it hurt so incredibly bad even with the epidural I couldn't imagine if I didn't have it. I am going to try without this time but I'm not opposed to it either

I had 3 epidurals and they alllllllll failed😭😭😭 when I was pushing I could feel my sons head stuck in my hips and everything! Unfortunately I had to get a c section to have him!

i had epidural and felt nothing during delivery

My first delivery I had an epidural was in labor for 14 hours and didn't feel anything. My second delivery I couldn't get the epidural, but I was in labor for 4 hours and he slid out. With my daughter had to be induced and didn't get the epidural that was a short, but more painful experience. My opinion depends on what you think your body can handle.

I plan on getting the epidural. I can't even handle period cramps lol
