Okay sorry this might be long but I feel like this is the only place I can rant..
Okay I LOVE my niece. She is so incredibly sweet and my daughters absolutely adore her. I get to babysit her quite frequently because her dad is a paramedic who is also a student and her mom is a nurse so they are pretty busy. Again...LOVE her..but, this child is so spoiled sometimes. I know it's because she's an only child and that could be a factor but she's 1 now and I can't put her down! She screams and cried if she's not being held or I'm at least in eyesight. She's always ready for a nap when she's here which is great but I also need to get my kids to sleep and she just screeeeeams 🙄 and then she will only nap on my chest. I cannot put her down. I'm pregnant! Girl I gotta pee constantly and eat! It especially hard when I babysit her at night for her bedtime and I'm stuck on the couch for hours while she's passed out on my chest. I have my own kids to take care of and feed and when she's here it feels like I can only tend to her or she gets pissed. Not to mention when she sleeps I have to be constantly touching her and playing with her hair. I dunno how I'm going to do this as this pregnancy progresses..or worse, after this baby is born!

I know babies tends to be more clingy around pregnant women. My son is that way and I can't put him down

@deafmama16, my son is so clingy too with me it's insane. He always wants me but it's different cuz we are their mommies.

That would be really hard...so they rock her and stuff still? I did with my son and he was a very clingy touchy baby

@ecahanes, my BIL said her mom constantly lets her sleep with them and on her chest. I have no idea how she keeps that up! My kids were sleeping in their own cribs consistently at 3-4 months. I mean sometimes I'll lay in bed for a while with my 3yo and I am all about baby snuggles but sometimes I need a break you know?

@vegasmomma, some people are just like that. I rocked my son to sleep until almost 18 months . Never coslept but still he is more clingy for sure. I wouldn't say she's spoiled she's just use to being babied. Maybe try rocking her and then putting her down. May take a few times but she's old enough where she will soon figure out that at home this is what she does for sleeping and at your house this is what she does

@ecahanes, I used to have a great one when she was smaller. But now that's she's older it's next to impossible to lay her down even when she's out cold. She immediately wakes up as soon as I take my hands off her and I'm not sure how to combat that
