That's probably why premies are usually delayed dont stress it my son was born at 37 weeks and drs said he was delayed on speech but the speech people came out and said they aren't worried usually first baby takes a little longer to pick up words just keep trying small words like mama and dada like ok mama is going to change you now and eventually he will pick up on it

@mommysbabies, He has a hearing test coming up, but I know he can hear, it's probably just procedure. From then I think they'll evaluate to see if he's a candidate for speech therapy. I just want to hear him say mama 😩

I wouldn't be to concerned . Just talk to you ped next time you see him. I didn't talk till I was 1-2... when I was caught having a full convo with my bear, my grandma caught me and I started crying

Yeah they asked me about hearing with my son then went to speech therapy but I wouldn't worry to much since he was born so early it will happen and because you had to wait it will make it more worth it

My friends child didn't really start talking until she was two, and then she exploded with words.

As the speech therapist told me those milestones chart are just a guideline for drs some kids take a little more time and it's true honestly one day my son just started talking more

All children develop differently. Don't worry momma, baby will get there. Just keep singing and talking ;-)
