This beautiful little lady has had her tongue tie divided today. The best £200 I've ever spent, I knew I was right about her having one! And she is so much more settled. She is like a different child!

How come you had to pay for it? Thought they did that kind if thing quite often with newborns/young baby with tongue tie 🤔

How did you go about this? My son has a tongue tie and I've been undecided to get it operated on or not. I want to because it looks like it restricts him and wouldn't want it affecting his speech of being able to stick out his tongue when he's older but my partners worried incase he's in any unnecessary pain x

I found a private lactation consultant in my area and booked an appointment, so we could continue breastfeeding mainly. They talk you all through the risks etc, but it was a really quick snip and she cried less than she did with her heel prick test x

@sara-lou86, there isn't any NHS practitioners in my area, at all! And my GP wouldn't diagnose and because she is putting weight on they wouldn't have referred anyway x

My baby has a tongue tie, I'm hesitant as I don't want him in pain. He has trouble drinking most of it comes out the sides of his bottles and he gets tired quickly, can't have more than 2 or 2.5 ounces.

@firsttimemummy86, she only had it done today and honestly she has been like a different child, the difference has been worth it and it's not even 24 hours x
