Any ladies out here who had a successful VBAC soon after pregnancy 1?
Had my consultation with docs yd and I have the option to plan for a c-section. The actual risk is so scary. That my wound ruptures and causes baby's placenta to fail due to my internal bleeding. There's usually 3 reasons they worry about that, one being that your pregnancy is so soon after the initial section. It will only have been one year since my first c-section. My husband and mum both are leaning towards scheduling a c-section. I on the other hand, ever since I found out I was pregnant, have been adamant I want to try for a natural birth, I want to experience a natural birth. But hearing it could cause harm to baby is where I've gotten quite worried, that for my own personal wants am I going to risk baby's life even a teeny tiny percentage? I dunno. So many things to think about. The good news out of all of this is that I will be getting many many more scans than normal to keep an eye on baby and help me make this decision.

There's a support group on Facebook call vbac uk they offer great advice etc, if you do go for natural the doctors will monitor you closely all the way through, so if anything does start to go wrong they can act on it fast, at the end of the day there will be a year between the births and if your pregnancy is straight forward etc you got a good chance of delivering naturally, either way it's your choice on what you decide to go for don't let anyone make the decision for you because it's your body, a lot of women go on to have a natural uncomplicated births after c section xx

@gabilicious Thank you for this. I'm not on FB but it's reassuring to hear that opinion. You're right during natural labour I will be monitored heavily so I could try. I really really want to.

If you really want to them go for it, you won't know until you try, you never know it might be an amazing experience xx
