Is it hard to have the older ones to listen to you when they are told to do chores?... When I was 9…

Yep my 13 years constantly gives me a hard time about chores and then if I'm not paying attention she will half ass it. So now I have to purposely sit around her doing her chores so it's done properly. I get all the back talk in the world , and I have to explain to her I don't do that when she ask me to get her the things she WANTS . It ends pretty quickly after that . But if you can't do chores I can't do anything you ask of me . I'll supply needs but wants aren't a needs .

They will thank you in the long run because we got generations that can't cook nor clean 😔

My DD is only 3.5 and she has chores, rules like cleaning up her toys, clearing her dishes after a meal, putting her own clothes in the hamper etc... If she can make the mess she can clean it up, if I cooked it and you ate it you can clean it up, if you wore it and you can take it off you can put it where it belongs. She knows these things and she doesn't question me. I am hoping that this Behavior continues as she gets older. Children are never to young to learn responsibility and have chores.

@prettymom1990xo, my sister and I growing up were very clean kids I can't remember a day our room was a mess at the end of the day. Of course like our parents when they were little times have changed kids nowadays are too spoiled and too privileged and too dependent on their parents. I personally believe that's because of the internet and all its social networking and how everyone puts their business out there for everyone to see people get judged as parents so now there's a stigma behind it and we fall to the mercy of the words of those who are irrelevant all because of what they said on a computer screen buy complete and total strangers never actually meet in your life.

@mommiesaremagical14, same here sweetie I always had my bedroom clean if it wasn't I would kinda freak from not being clean I have OCD little bit I got to have everything clean but far has electronics and everything now days are crazy I use to go out in my backyard and play
