Has anyone else dealt with this? So Zaid has started this new thing of being incredibly fussy at around 4pm every day. By that times he's woken from his second nap. I've given him snacks of fruits and biscuits and sometimes even crisps because I worried at first that he was hungry for dinner, which is usually around 5.30 but nothing is helping. He screams and moans at me. Just wants me to carry him. Sometimes even moaning at me while I'm carrying him. Granted I'm pregnant and it's hard carrying a 9kg kid for so long. I'm trying everything, the other day I carried him outside for a quick walk, but again that's hard. I dunno. I actually don't get what's going on.

Could possibly be separation anxiety? Or maybe he's teething, as bad as it sounds don't give in to him hun just carry on as you normally would and it should soon pass xx

I always found Max was hard work in the later afternoon. I never really learnt why but I just had to keep him busy or entertained. I learnt to get what chores I could done earlier on in the day when he was happier so I could relax and play with him at that time. It would be getting dinner ready was the main struggle. But sometimes you just gotta let them moan for a bit. You can't have them attached to you 24/7. I have a kitchen gate so I'd talk to him through that & just keep popping back in for a cuddle or to distract him if he got too upset. Then we'd chill watching tv and playing on the floor together.

@gabilicious I think we're past separation anxiety, there was a time where he literally wouldn't let me walk into another room but he's okay now. It's literally just the time of day. And same with teething, he just had 4 teeth come out so we should be having a break. I do agree though I think I'm giving in to him too much. Like I'm too emotional as a pregnant woman and I don't have the balls at this moment to just let him moan and yell. It gives me a headache and I just give in.

@sara-lou86 Strangest part is I do everything in the day and leave that particular time to just sit and play with him! He gets the most attention at that time. But also I'm generally the most worn out nauseous and have bad headaches around this time too. He's feeding into it and being a butt. Yeah husband told me today strap him to his highchair and get his dinner ready, stop carrying him about and doing it. I need to be firmer.
