I need help from a breastfeeding mother or mothers!
I agree. Hand express and try to limit pumping. Meet with a lactation consultant about her latch.
Try buying a nipple shield adapter to your niple it's magic it will help
Oh yeh mama it's normal to experience a little bit of pain in the beginning while the skin on your nipples is getting tougher. It'll be better soon. Don't worry. But definitely put the pump away.
And honestly your nipples are most likely more sore from pumping than from her nursing. Pumping is harsher on the boobs.
Nursing is not pleasant in the beginning tbh. It takes a little bit for your nipples to toughen up. Stick with it mama. If needed, have her latch double checked to make sure she is latching correctly. How old is she now?
Warm compress and hand expression. Pumping so much so soon probably gave you a bit of an oversupply. Put the pump away and just nurse baby. What's wrong with your daughters latch?
@jasholbert, I've been pumping since first day home my nipples are sore from my daughter latching on wrong I pumped a lot yesterday but I forgot to do it every 2-3 hours so now my boobs are really swollen and sore as well as my nipples and it hurts what can I do to get the swelling and soreness down?
I put the shower on hot & just let it rain down on my boobs every time I wind up engorged. Helps the milk really release once baby is on or if you pump. Pumping has helped my nipples a lot. My daughter has a shallow latch so every time she is on the boob it doesn't hurt like it did in the beginning
