When my son was a baby he started sitting up around 4 months and crawling at 6 months.
My cousins baby is 6 months and he isn't sitting up or pulling himself into a sitting position and I've noticed a lot of babies are sitting on their own by now.
Question: should my cousin be concerned with his development? Is he really behind in his development?

@noahs.mommy, my thoughts exactly. She's always complaining how much he cries but she makes it to where he's attached to her. So I'm like okay. Don't listen to me then lol

@leonardosmommy he probably cries because she didn't start when he was itty bitty and with how much it sounds like she holds him. He's becoming VERY attached. I think the more she puts him down the more independent he'll be but thats up to her its her kid if she wants him to be wobbly then more power to her lol

@noahs.mommy, lol this is true. But there's only so many times I can tell her things without her thinking that I think she doesn't know anything and gets defensive with what she does.

@noahs.mommy, she didn't start having him do any tummy time until like 2 months and she would consider a lot of it being on her chest. Like laying him on her chest. And she doesn't have him do it a lot or for more than a few minutes because he's a cryer and wants to be held so she just always ends up picking him up a lot

@leonardosmommy since hes not crawling or sitting she need to not be putting him in the walker. He's supposed to strengthen his neck back and core 1st. Get crawling and sitting THEN he can use bouncers and walkers to strengthen his legs.

@noahs.mommy, she has a walker that he like to be in because he like moving his legs a lot. But I told her to get a bumbo or something for him to actually sit in

@noahs.mommy, I try telling her to not hold him so much so he can get strength in his neck and body. He can't really keep his balance with his head very well so he's like a little bobble head lol

He can learn earlier with help but he will learn on his own eventually

@leonardosmommy i think she just needs to be sitting him on the floor and helping him balance himself putting him in a bumbo seat or something like that so he can get somewhat of his own balance. And always putting him on his tummy will help him start to get up on his hands and knees.

@leonardosmommy so my son is crawling he's 6 months ol but can't sit on his butt by himself yet but he's trying to. However he does sit on the floor or in laps if you set him there. Does she have any seat toys that would help him sit up?
