I'm more afraid of the IV and epidural needles than the actual labor 😹😫

Epidural I can understand. But the IV?😂😂

Don't feel bad. Im afraid of needles myself. Sometimes i cry when i know im about to get a shot....My doctor always tell me to look away and you won't feel a thing. I tried it and it didnt work at all.

Didn't mind the epidural, but the iv did bother me! Mini PTSD from when I had an accident in my childhood and the nurse stuck me 4 times in each hand before she finally got one! She lied the whole time!!! "Just a bee sting" b*tch please!

My contractions were so bad I didn't feel the epidural. Plus the epidural was ongoing which was nice. I was induced

@juliaschade41, yes. The IV. I've had a bad experience with a nurse messing up and blowing my vein. Left my arm swollen, bruised and numb.

@infamousmama_ honestly? For me it was because I am sensitive and numbing wipe/cream whatever it was didn't do shit for me. I felt the whole thing go in. Never again.

The epidural is hell well for me it was both times ! The first I don't really remember I was too high off I.v pain meds to feel but my second baby was a scheduled csection so I wasn't on drugs or anything and girl let me tell you nothing is scarier then a big ass needle going in your spin and the dr telling you don't move like wtf. It burns once it penetrates the skin and then it's just a numb pain is the best way I could explain it but once the needle is where it's supposed to go it makes your hip bounce up from the nerve getting pricked. Uhhh overall I don't wanna go through that ever again. And too top it off my last dr didn't insert it right so I have an air bubble where my shot was that causes extreme back pain and my back to lock up from time to time. I don't wanna scare you I'm just letting you truthfully what I went through.

I didn't get any type of numbing choices either time they just insert it. Usually once it's in and they tape the iv tube to your back so it doesn't rip out it only takes about 5 mins before your numb waist down , it was also cruel asf for them to pinch me and nip at me tweezer things and alcohol pads to check if I was numb lol I hate nurses 🙄🤣 @deafmama16
