My munchkin Ethan is going to be two in November . He's doing everything that I think a kid his age should be doing. He says momma but that's about it. When a song comes on from a show like Seaame Street he follows the melody but the words aren't formed. He understands when I speak to to him because he knows cup and shoes, and Granny 😊. Should I be worried because he's not saying a whole lot more, or just see what happens? I know some kids are chatter boxes, any tips?

My friends pediatrician said her two year old should know 50 words and be able to put two word sentences together. It might be something you want to bring up to his pediatrician and just ask if he can be tested to see if he needs speech therapy

@mommysweigart Well his doctor isn't too beat up about it. It's more of , I'm I doing something wrong here kind of thing. Then you have the people because there kid is doing something they make you feel like you have no clue what you're doing. Thanks for the positive feedback .

Some kids just talk later then others if he knows what your saying thats something and i feel in my opinion if he says a few words he isnt too far behind and some times once they start they dont stop talking and will catch up if your pediatrician isnt concerned then id just try to work with him and hell get there
