Help!! Have to call my dr in the A.M. Just got off the phone with an on call nurse and she didn't ease my worries at all..... 1) I could have a displaced IUD or 2) I could be pregnant while on an iud...
I can't feel my IUD strings at all anymore and the last time I checked was 2weeks ago and I could feel them then. For the past two weeks I've been having massive heartburn, nausea, bloated, and pretty much its exactly how I felt right before I found out about being pregnant with my now 7momth old daughter.

Hopefully everything works out. I had pregnancy symptoms with the IUD- I've only had it since April though. I didn't know you were supposed to check for the strings. No one explained this to me,&& I'm not about to go looking for them. 🤢

@kimberlyyyy_the-preemie-mom it is really important that you check for the strings. It is how you make sure the IUD doesn't migrate. The horror stories you hear about migration are from people that don't check their strings and it has been moving for months

@kimberlyyyy_the-preemie-mom yea my Dr didn't even tell me about it, I have a friend who has had one for 5 years and she told me. Basically you have to feel like right outside your cervix to make sure you can feel the strings because if you can't it could be displaced or you could have even expelled it without noticing. If you don't check I'd have your ob/gyn check every so often, just to be safe
