Any moms out there that can give me some good positive advice. I'm having a hard time with my 9yr old step daughter. My husband has had custody of her since she was 1 and I helped raised her since she was 4. She's always bring the "mom card" on me for example that I dont love her/want her and I'm not her real mom. It breaks my heart every time she brings it up when she's throwing a tantrum. And honestly I'm sick in tired of it. But now that I'm pregnant she threw in another card at me saying I only want my 5yr old Son and the new baby that's coming along. 😣😏😒 Not even a teenager yet and she gives us the hardest time ever. She had ADHD but not to sure what else I can do or something I'm completely lost right now. I love and care for her as my own because I see her as mine. But every time she does or acts out it just pushes us back and its very frustrating. Anyone? Someone? Thanks for seeing this in advance.

My step daughter (same age) pulled that once or twice when my fiance and I first got together about 3 years ago. I got after her for something and she says "Youre not my mom" I told her "Youre right, im not your mom, but I do look after you, and you will respect me. If not you dont have to come over here" She got over it and never did that again. I understood right away, my parents went through a divorce, it hurt a lot though..But thats right when we got together so I hadnt raised her since she was a baby, so i can understand how difficult your situation is. I think you and your husband should sit down with her and have a conversation about it. And get the point across to her that, that really hurts your feelings because you do a lot for her, and she needs to respect you. Sorry youre going through that hun, I know how much it hurts.
