@cubanese, or anyone who can help. After I had my son the nurses advised me to wait a month before introducing him to a pacifier to avoid nipple confusion. However my family is pressuring me to use one cause he will use my boobs to pacify when he is bored. I'm thinking about giving him a pacifier to help him relax, but I'm scared he won't wanna Breast feed or won't feed as much... and I'll lose the bond... I'm super frustrated with everyone telling me what to do. I'd like to figure things out for myself.. but I don't wanna totally screw it up.. nursing him relieves my anxiety and bonds us. I don't want it ruined by a binky

It depends on the child . But I was able to introduce a pacifier to my son before one month and it didnt cause him confusion. I think you're safe since he already has established a latch .

Well in regards to his tongue tie I wouldn't you wdont want to mess up then progress you have made . & your family just have to understand he's your baby your decision no paci until you feel he's ready

@cubanese, Im just afraid when Im taking a nap someone may get too lazy to entertain him if he's crying and look for an easy way out. I always tell people to wake me up if he won't calm down so I can feed him, but I've caught people (family and nurses) trying to quiet him down but putting their fingers to the roof of his mouth .. super frustrating

I was told the same thing... My daughter has a set of no lungs on her so I did the paci and she never ever got confused...she only.takes it now when she is upset or sleepy so it worked out well for us
