Some one please explain the difference between Braxton hicks and contractions...with Patrick my water just broke before…

Contractions can b timed. Mine were around 4 minutes apart and i was like 6cm dilated

@allyk.xmommy, see I had like five or six within a hour then it slowed down and now I'm getting them randomly but just not frequently...could it just be my cervix getting soft and stuff? I went in yesterday and he said my cervix was kind of soft...wasn't dilated or anything

It sounds like braxton hicks. If you drink lots of water, put your feet up, or try a bath and they go away, that a braxton hick. If they keep going and continue to go and can be timed, its the real deal

Ok thank you I think they were contractions only because I did do that (besides bath) but I also did a lot like getting checked and getting my hips adjusted and then sex yesterday. Just a lot in one day cuz I still feel crappy. Could be Braxton hicks too I guess I'll find out if it keeps happening today lol thank you 😊

With Braxton Hicks my whole belly would get hard or contorted and with my contractions it just felt like bad period cramps in my lower abdomen / uterus

@nowmrspost, thanks it feels like period but also like cervix pains. I think he's just dropping more and hitting my cervix. Thank you 😊
