Maybe I'm in the wrong, but I honestly don't think I am. I am around 6 weeks and 4 days from a scheduled induction date and my mother didn't volunteer to watch my oldest son while I have my second little boy so my mother-in-law said she would (keep in mind she is willing to watch KL instead of being in there while her FIRST grandchild was born) this will be my mothers 5th grandchild. So to be fair I told my mom it would be just me and Justin in the delivery room so it'll be fair to mine and Justin's mom. Well my mother was very unhappy, she was yelling and comparing me to my sister( who disowned my mom) and telling me that because she is my mother she should automatically be in there before anyone else, the she hung up on me and wouldn't return my calls. And for the record my mom hardly ever calls me and the only time she messages md its through social media. She has only came to see KL once since we move into our house. I love my mother don't get me wrong, but I also love my mother-in-law. I just wanted to be fair to both and not make one feel bad and all I get is yelled at and upset by my mother. Am I really wrong?

No I don't feel you're wrong It's wouldn't be fair to have one gmom and not the other you cant please everyone just because she's your mom doesn't mean she have to be in the room

@evanasmama my mom it seems like is always doing this. She didn't even show up to Kl's 2nd birthday party but yet gets mad when I didn't include her in a "thank you" to the people who showed up. I thought it was nice of my mother-in-law to volunteer to watch him for me and not get upset about not being in there. I just wanted to be fair to them both.

Yes mam, I agree with the lady above. Don't let her ruin an important day. She might be mad but she not gonna be mad forever, she will get over it. She gotta understand that your husband is there. She just saying spiteful things because she mad. She will apologize for that too. Prep for your big day and congratulations. All will be fine.

@chelli I thought so to. Since I git pregnant my MIL has been there every step of the way for me. She even requested a week off from work to stay with us after thw baby was born in case I needed help.

@teresajames317 my mom isn't one to apologize, but I figure she will come to see that I am just trying to do what's right. And thank you I am ready as I can be for him to be here. @liz41395 I couldn't agree more.

@chelli yeah my son is 2 and into everythiby but he seems excited about a brother. @evanasmama yeah, I didn't expect her to act like this when she was the one who taught us to be fair to everyone when we were growing up.

That's all kinds of twisted. I'm not sure why she thinks she deserves to be in the room more than the father of the child. It's your decision, don't let her make you feel bad just because she wants to be spiteful! It's your day to welcome YOUR baby into this world. Don't let anyone ruin that for you! I think you were being completely fair.
