Ladies I need some advice. I've made one of my best friends a guidemother to my daughter and in the 8 months skyla has been born I've seen said friend once. Right at the beginning. She lives maybe an hour away from me but it's London there's the train. I messaged her and she replied that she was feeling really jealous and envious of what I had and couldn't be around me but she's sorry and she will try harder now and I don't know what to say or reply. What should I do?

Give her a chance i think. Ive not seen 1 of my sons godparents since his baptism so i just ignore him

@mum2sky it's immature behaviour don't need that around u jealous people just course u bother xxx

@sarahrose569 it is I agree. But I've known her so long I don't want to throw it away because of that but I'm torn that she couldn't tell me x

You could just ask her what specifically she's jealous of? Has she told you? And then reassure her that she will have the same one day! Xx
Alisha Pomells ·
@genieh she said she's jealous of what I have so I'm guessing that's my daughter. Part of me feels bad because I know she's had a few miscarriages and it must be hard to see your friend have a baby but at the same time she should've told me this before not left it till I messaged her 8 months later. I've never had a miscarriage so i have no idea how that loss must feel so I'm trying to look at it from both angles it's just hard x
Gina·
Oh I see @mum2sky that's a tough one! 😕 xx
Alisha Pomells ·
@genieh tell me about it 😓 x
Gina·
To be honest she should just be happy for you and not resent you for it, it's not your fault she's had miscarriages although I can't imagine how awful it must be! Maybe you could meet without your daughter first? Or with other friends who also don't have children yet? I really don't know what to suggest😕 xx

One thing I'll say is dont rely on God parents its just a name because no one these days lives up to it. Once you make a friend or whoever a god parent u feel as if they owe u some responsibility with your child.
Alisha Pomells ·
@genieh yeah hun I agree I think I'll meet up with her and talk but if she's struggling and can't accept it then we can't really be friends :( x
@shyanne I Completely Agree. I'm one and I take it seriously but I guess I can't expect everyone to be the same. Thanks hun x

@mum2sky Yh If She Was A Friend She Would Of Shown her face from time ago.. People change once u have a baby.(Talking from experience)
Alisha Pomells ·
@shyanne yeah I know I just feel like I'm losing every one it sucks but their loss I'm not chasing after anyone anymore
Shyanne N·
@mum2sky Same with me. The friendships (Good banter & conversations) no longer exist I only got myself now. It does suck a lot

@shyanne at least most of us mum's can relate and we have these little things like the app. I'd feel so alone without it tbh

@mum2sky good thing I found this app.
