One thing I can't stand are the mom groups/pages on Factbook. It's always one mom judging another, or someone trying to use Facebook as a doctor when they show a picture of the child when it's clear that they need medical attention immediately. Oh and the classic "am I pregnant" but the test has dark positive lines 🙄 lol

In one group, a woman was frantic saying her 1 or 2 yr old had gotten a hold of the grandmothers diet pills or something so she was asking what to do. It was some kind of energy/metabolic blend bs. I'm sitting here thinking, there's no telling how much is in her stomach/system already so I would grab the kid and the pack and RUN to the hospital. I wouldn't even bother with poison control. I'm sitting there like....why?!?!?!?!

@brianne @blakesmommyyy I hate Facebook groups as much as the next person, but I can at least understand questioning the pill grabbing. 😮 My oldest got a hold of my allergy meds and ate some, I rushed him to the hospital, the nurse turned around and called poison control and followed their instructions, told me my kid was fine and sent me home with a $250 bill. I could have saved a lot of trouble had I called poison control myself 😂
That being said, Facebook isn't the best place for advice in emergencies regardless 🙄 some mamas need a dose of common sense.

@typicalwifegirl, I won't lie, id be pissed to get a $250 bill for a "I could have done that" kind of visit. But I would much rather that than call and they say to take to the hospital and end up being even 2 seconds too late.

When my daughter wasn't even 2 yet, she got a hold of one of my grandfathers pills (he takes about 8 different meds for blood pressure, pain, some other stuff) and I was crying so hard because my grandparents (who I lived with at the time) refused to take us to the hospital before calling poison control cause they didn't wanna waste gas. 😡luckily it was just something that made her super sleepy and they said if she sleeps more than usual over the next 24 to 48 hours it's okay and not alarming. They told me what to look out for and what to rush her to the hospital for. I'm so glad nothing happened.
