Our daughter will be here in less than 3 weeks... we still can't decide on a name! 🤦♀️ our oldest is named Scarlett... we don't like 'popular' names... I know as soon as we named our daughter, it started rising in popularity... but if the name falls in the top 100 names we won't pick it! I want it to have strength and not easily be shortened into a nickname... we also, won't choose a name if we personally know anyone with that name, I like the idea of older names also.... right now, the ones we keep coming back to are Fiona, Felicity and Opal... we both loved Fiona from the beginning... but several people have been giving us crap about that name... so now I'm on the fence about it! Any thoughts and suggestions are appreciated!

@booboosmommy, interesting, both named Maude, that one I've not heard, I'll mention it to my hubby... we won't go with Beatrice, that was my Dad's mothers name... 😳 and she was all kinds of unbalanced!!! 😅, don't need to put that on a kid!

@booboosmommy, that is funny! We gave our oldest the middle name of Rosalie, that was my great-aunt, she never was able to have kids herself, but she was a feisty lady, always there for her family, never afraid to cause a little trouble! 😅 for this second child I think we are going with Louise as the middle name... one of my strongest influences growing up was also a feisty lady who never had kids of her own, her name was Janet... nothing really flows with that as a middle name, so we are going with her middle name as a middle name, which is Louise... but can't seem to decide on a first name! 😅

I love opal... Love it!!! I personally am not a huge fan of fiona just because it reminds me of Shrek. Elenor is a good name too

@sawyersmom, yeah we keep getting the Shrek thing... but i totally did not even think of that when we choose it! I really like Opal, because we already have a Scarlett... but then I think are we those weird parents who's kids names have a theme?!? 😅 Elenor is very nice and on our list as well, it's not been removed... but my husband just shrugs when I mention it! 😅🤦♀️ like seriously man... you got to be more decisive than this! lol

I am not really sure that many people in my generation would even think theme. Let alone in their generation lol. I like sawyer for a girl too. It isn't very popular

@kendraharlee, oooh... I like Viola... I know someone who's daughter is Violet, I liked that name, but it's obviously been used, so we scratched it... but I don't know any Viola's and that is Beautiful!

My daughter's name & middle name is Lynnie Jade😍 I wasn't wanting her to have the same name as anyone lol it's unique & I didn't care what anyone thought about it. It's your child, name it whatever you want 😘
