I got my pump while like 25 weeks pregnant. You can go to edgepark.com and enter insurance information and pick a pump your insurance covers. They handle EVERYTHING else for you. They will call your doctor and get your prescription and contact your insurance. I received mine in like 5 days.

@beebaby unless you have latch issues. Then a pump can be absolutely necessary. My son had lip and tongue tie and couldn't nurse right away. So my pump is what kept me from having to use formula.

@beebaby oh well you were lucky then. My sons tongue was completly fused to the bottom of his mouth. I had never even heard of tongue tie! I thought it was just an old expression lol.
