Okay I know this is a long shot because it's not baby related, but I need some advice. I got my wisdom teeth out a few days ago. My top ones don't hurt. My bottoms ones KILL. Even if I use my pain killer, salt water rinse, heat, ice, or anything else it doesn't help. My cheek tissue is going down into where I had my incision. It has grown to the shape of it too. It hurts so much that last night I was sitting my my chair crying because I couldn't handle it. I've followed all the instructions to a "T". Could this be dry socket? Or do you have any other advice?
@mrsgraffiti, thank you! At least they prescribed me some penicillin to help with the problems. It's helping some. One side is gone and the other is still there, but it's slowly getting better(or so it seems that way) I am able to manage the pain. I believe in one side it is pericoronitis. Could you ask your sister if the penicillin will eventually make it go away? Is there a time period as to when I should go to the dentist for it if it doesn't? I've looked up some home remedies and I have been trying them.
@emmaexcited, what the hell?! Even though its emergent?! Idk kiddo, if it doesn't let up soon I'd say an ED visit may be in order. Dry sockets are no joke. Looked up some info for you... hope it will help!! ссылка
@mrsgraffiti, My surgeon said they can't get me in for a few weeks and the local dentist called in an antibiotic for me, but isn't able to see me....😭
@mrsgraffiti, it was a soft, soup like rice! They told me I could eat it. I don't see anything in them, but I could be wrong!
Rice?! Yikes. I hope a piece isn't stuck in your incision. That happened to me once and I ended up with a horrible abscess. Worst pain in my whole life.
@emmaexcited, oh I bet. I've seen people straight pass out from dry sockets. They're no joke!! Best of luck!!
@mrsgraffiti, okay thank you so much😊 I'm hoping they can get me in this afternoon. I've never felt so much pain in my life.
@nitarose070793, I had them out on Monday and didn't start having problems until last night. I've only had soup, ice cream, a tiny bit of rice, and apple sauce the past few days.
Unfortunately perocoronitis doesn't really go away. The tissue that lays over the tooth needs to be removed or the tooth it's covering does. The antibiotics will help with infection, but that flap won't recede.
