Is it normal for men to be unattached to their kids?
I caved and toled my husband we can allow our daughter to stay with his mom for a couple days because they all have been on my back about it. This would be the first night away from her EVER. Im already dreading it. I vented to my husband about how I felt about leaving her. He basically said it doesn't bother him to leave her. He said if im not ready then he is gonna get away for a couple days...I dont doubt his love for my daughter but hes made comments like this before. Is this a guy thing?

I have an almost 3yr old that's never stayed more than an hour away from us because her dad isn't ok with it.

My ex-husband was like that. Try and give the benefit of the doubt...being a new parent is exhausting and everyone copes differently. If he needs a couple days to get rejuvenated, so be it! He will likely spend the time texting you anyway and miss you like crazy. ❤️

Side note if you're not comfortable with it dont let her go...nobody should pressure you into that. That's your baby!

My husband seems unattached to everyone. Including his daughter, she's never stayed anywhere but with my mom while I'm at work (in our home) tho so not sure how he'd react to overnight but he'll come home from work, kiss her and hold her for 5 minutes and then do his own thing the rest of the night. Rarely he'll spend more than 5 minutes with anyone. I hate how detached he is to his family.
