So Brendon was acting a bit different yesterday, he was crying on and off but he had been fed, pooped, was burping fine and was a nice temperature, but he wouldn't nap, he'd close his eyes and sleep for about 30 minutes max. My OH thinks he could be teething but I wasn't sure. How can you tell if a baby is teething? He's drooling more, chewing his hands loads, when I've had a look in his mouth you can see what looks like the shape of 2 teeny teeth under his gums. Im not sure if that means they're getting ready to come out or if all babies look like that. 🤔 he's also sleeping loads toady! He's woken up once to eat and that's all. Im super confused haha 😅

It could be teething, it could be a growth spurt, so hard to tell at that age. My son started teething as soon as he was born, but his bottom two teeth didn't come through until he was 4 months old, so they can be teething for a while before they cut any teeth, poor dabs. Hope he's back to himself soon x

Yeah he's 7 weeks which is why I'm confused about what it could be. I've heard about babies teething early but when you try and Google it all it says is babies don't start teething until 4 to 6 months. Thank you @jskalouu :) x

@rachmyers95, they definitely can start teething before then. My son had two proper teeth by 4 months so he'd been teething a long while before 4 months haha. It's harder to find medicines for them when they're younger, but I'd buy some teething toys for him if I were you. Sophie the giraffe was an absolute godsend for us! X

@ells123 we've got teething gel at the ready haha 😅 he's got his 8 week appointment next Wednesday so I'll ask them about it there, have they given you anything to give your little girl for the thrush? Xxx

I noticed the other day a little spot that kinda looked like an ulcer on the bottom of his gums right next to where you can see his little teeth, I wonder if he has thrush too @ells123 xxx

They're all teething symptoms! My daughter has been doing this since about 6weeks and I've been able to see the shape where her teeth will be for at least a month or so but still nothing's come through and she's 5months now! Xx
