Any other mommys out there with specific birth plan requests?
(i.e. saline lock vs. IV, no pain meds unless requested, alternative birthing positions, delayed weighing after birth, no pacifiers, ect.) 🤔

Introducing a bottle right away along with breast feeding. Other than that, not really. My hospital will do a delayed clamp already, and a "golden hour" where its nothing but skin to skin for the first hour. Before weighing/measuring and everything.

@vamommy89, Do you feel like for the most part they respected your birth plan? Aside from the emergency C-section of course. I'm just curious if the nurses are sensitive to the fact some moms don't want to follow the same script.

@jordanmartin1732, I really wanted to stress the delayed clamping (for at least 5 min) and the immediate skin to skin so she has a chance to rest and feel the natural urge to breastfeed before she's taken away. And I really am hoping the hospital I am going to give birth at would respect that.. 😌

@erikacupcake Im sure they will. When I went and did my walk through tour of L&D, I was really surprised that they do both automatically. I plan on printing out a birth plan and taking it to the hospital with me for the nurses and doctor.

It's crazy all the little intricacies and procedures nobody thinks about. So I'm hoping my research pays off so I don't have to worry about it on the day when I'm sure getting through the pain will be my main concern, especially since I want a med-free labor and delivery if I can manage it!
