So.. when my husband and I first found out we were pregnant we stocked up on everything! Paid for everything with our hard earned money. Now my sister is due in four weeks and hasn't bought anything for her child. And her bf won't let her have a baby shower. This is her first. But she is expecting me to give her everything my baby will grow out of. Which some things I don't care about, but others I do. I want to have more kids so would like to keep stuff for then too. I can just let her borrow stuff but I don't know what condition it'll be in when I get it back. I worked hard for my stuff and don't just want to hand it over. And really don't want to sell it either. Since like I said I want to have more kids .
So what do y'all suggest? I am feeling bad since she is due in 4/5 weeks and I don't want her kid to go without, but she shouldn't expect for my stuff either. And I don't want to be the one to support her kid. But I don't know if she'll be able to since she is already complaining about not having money.
I don't know what to do or think.
I already gave them a bunch of stuff early on in her pregnancy, but they state "they don't know what I have them, or where it's all at"

Wow. Maybe throw her a shower? Who is her bf to say she can't have that especially if they're having trouble. You're not responsible for giving her stuff so don't worry about that. Be honest with her..you guys plan to have more therefore you're saving it yourself

Sounds like her BF needs a reality check and a good kick in the rear. Why don't you have her check out online thrift stores? I know people sell a ton of stuff on LetGo, Facebook, OfferUp. And if you're going to let her borrow, make sure she understands that you want the item back the same way you gave it to her. If she breaks it, she "buys it." And if it were me, I'd have a shower anyways, especially since it's her first.

It sounds like your sister got lazy the whole pregnancy, I mean if she knew she what she was having she could of reached out to her friends on Facebook and asked for help the entire time, yes you are family but your not not here personal ATM or charity

You cannot allow yourself to feel responsible for her baby. It's ok to give her things that aren't sentimental to you. Don't let her borrow things because babies poop and spit up a lot on the clothing. Her boyfriend is not her daddy nor her boss. Plan her a shower and tell him to stay home. She can't let him control her like that. I've been there and I'm learning to get a voice. It's their child and baby showers are a tremendous help. If he throws a fit tell him child support cost him a lot more than a shower. Smh 🤦🏼♀️

Not your responsibility... I would offer to throw her a shower, who cares what her bf says! Explain, you are planning on having more kids, and are saving your stuff for them! Plain and simple! I really get frustrated with people who feel entitled! We bought most everything for our child too! And we never expected anything from anyone! Anything we got was a bonus!

I would throw her a shows. Why doesn't het boyfriend want her having a shower? That's really weird. I would keep your stuff if you're planning on more kids. At the end of the day we are all responsible for buying our kids stuff they need. If you have a few things to spare, maybe let her have them.

So this was our conversation. Definitely don't feel like just handing my stuff over now... @rmreed @mandapanda2 @mama___k___e @dreamermom @scarapella1 @sexymomma31589 @morganmommy79

Wow. Yeah she just wants to be handed stuff not actually celebrate the babies life. Geez
