Today I was told that I have changed over the years. I no longer make my career a priority (not in a bad way), it is clear that I make my family my priority. I no longer work more than I spend time with my family. I do my job, and I do it well, and I leave. When I first started in my career I wanted to rise above the rest and I wanted to do it quickly. I worked my ass off and worked more overtime than many others. I pushed myself until I reached a point of satisfaction and I had my Masters degree and then I realized the one thing I was working so hard for, was the one thing I never even got to enjoy - my family. So I stopped. I decided that losing time with my family wasn't worth more money or more "power" and my decision has been noticed and I am perfectly fine with that. This little boy right here along with my baby girl and my big boy, as well as my husband, are my priority and always will be. They come first. They are my life and without them, there is no reason to work. So yes, they are my priority. They are my everything. ❤️ I am at peace with that and happier now than I've ever been.
