My doctor called today and wants me to get a MRI next Friday because I have been having sharp pain…

I had a MRI &&/cat scan will they put your whole body in??

Have the tried an ultrasound yet? For that area. Right side would be appendix

Right side as in hip, abdomen, lower back?

Yeah I think that's the on that your whole body goes in cause if they want to check you right side and your back when you go in they will out like a mat thingy on your stomach so the radiation wont hurt the baby they will ask you and stuff I had a cat scan and a MRI when I was pregnant with my daughter so it been 4 years since I had one

@rmreed they did a ultrasound on my kidneys, gallbladder and liver and my doctor said that they looked normal but wants to do a MRI for appendix because she said you really can't detect a appendicitis on a ultrasound while pregnant. Makes no sense to me?? ☹️

Could be your gallbladder.

No she doesn't have no birth defects or hearing loss. I mean she has delays but nothing that the MRI caused they will make sure the baby is well protected during it

I refused an x-ray while pregnant cause I was scared so I understand. I'd ask they figure it out some other way..ugh that's hard

MRI is not radiation its magnets. CT scan uses a little radiation but still less than what you encounter on an airplane.
