I have a passport question and thought this might be a good place to ask. I need to change my name from my maiden name to my married legal name on my passport. However when I search online I found this info so now I'm confused. Also I assume to apply for my baby a passport it's the same as anyone else from what I'm reading. My current passport expires in 2020. I have traveled as a married women with it but I still had a valid ID to match but now that's not the case.

So a passport is a form of a valid ID, so you can travel with your old passport with your maiden name on it. You just need to be sure to book your plane ticket under your maiden name, so they match.

@purpledpink, ok thanks yea but not sure I can bc car rental I guess I could put that in my husbands name only not sure yet. Do u have a passport for ur baby online it says they only last 1-5 years

@txyogagirl, I don't, you would use your passport for the plane ticket and could use your DL for the car rental
