Since my family doesn't want to help get stuff for my shower what so ever and have been making me do everything to even have one I decided I just wouldnt bother. My grandmother who was "throwing" my shower decided she wasnt going to spend money on my shower. We can't afford to buy all the stuff and I have had to do everything trying to get it ready. She goes out of her way and is generous to all her friends and students. She's constantly taking vacations but she hasn't done a thing to help with the baby. Every time I talk to her about it she has something negative to say I finally told her off today. I told her I was done trying to throw my own shower and that I had expected a little more help from her end. Luckily my fiancés family has been super helpful. My mom doesn't live in the same state as me and she hasn't been the best mother but she has really come through for her grandbaby yet my grandma wants to put her down every chance she gets. My mom has gotten a car, her license, and tons of baby stuff for me and she is making the 16 hour drive before I have the baby. She's the only one who has really come through for us. It makes me so angry that my family wants to put her down.
