My son went to the doctor today bc he has been very constipated and when they weighed him they said constipation was the least of there concerns, he only weighs 11 pounds at 4 months old, he's not even on the growth chart he's at 3% and 5% is considered low for a premi and they put him on an extra calorie formula specially made for preemies but they had him on it when he was in the nicu and he couldn't tolerate it so they had to change it and I gave him his first bottle of it tonight and he threw it up so now I'm extremely worried and feel helpless /: @katlovesj, @loving_the_mommy_life,

Have you tried breastfeeding(occasionally) or at least pumping and giving him the milk ?@krider_randi

@krider_randi oh no I hope he gets better and he gains weight... You might have to take him to the Dr again to see if there is anything they can do to help your son gain weight...

My milk is dried up, he's 4 months old @mamiiscorp, and thank you, I'm gonna give it a few days and see if he starts doing better with the formula and if not I will definitely be heading back to the doctor @loving_the_mommy_life,

Are you sure its dried up ?

I had milk 4 years after having my oldest .

You may not have a lot but stimulation definitely increases your supply

Yess, I hardly produced any milk at all both pregnancies and my milk dried up within weeks of haveing both my boys /: @mamiiscorp,

@krider_randi I see. You can talk to a lactation consultant in your area about the situation and they will be very helpful.
