I'm so thankful my Carlie has such a wonderful daddy. He would do anything in this world for her. Rewind to my childhood.. I didn't have much of a dad. He went to prison when I was 3, until I was 8. He didn't come around us girls at all when he got out. He fought to not pay child support. (He still paid $300 per month for 3 kids). He wasn't around much as I got older either. Three years ago he passed away unexpectedly at the age of 47. I've forgiven him and moved on but just wish he would have been the father I had hoped for growing up. I still miss him every day though, and hope he sees how good I'm doing in life now. I have my daughter and my husband, and that's ultimately all I need. Just sometimes I think back and the 'what ifs' run through my mind.
