I need advice ASAP.
I found a sitter. But if I am only working 30 hours or less a week. And say my checks every 2 weeks at $300.
My sitter said $150 a week. So at the end of 2 weeks would be $300. Which means I couldn't afford baby stuff.
What I need help with. Since it is only 1 kid, if I provide his breakfast/lunch/snacks and drinks. Would it be rude to see if she would do $75 a week which would be $150 every 2 weeks. Seeing as the checks would be that small. And I still have to buy baby stuff. Plus I don't know if she will have him all day, or if it would only be like 2 or 3 hours a day and maybe all 5 days a week or 3 days a week.

@ecahanes well once I have the second baby the price would be higher. But if she only has him 3 days or less or even just a few hours a week if that. I just don't have the extra money for it right now. I am getting back into work so we can buy the stuff for the new baby, and it would be hard to buy every thing with only maybe $200 a month. I mean if it was me I would be OK with working with the price that I stated above, because I know alot of people struggle. And that's how we are now. I'd of course give her more if I worked more. Maybe I'm over thinking it. But I can make sure he has breakfast lunch snacks and juice no problem.

I would just ask if she could do a daily rate for an 8 hour day

@sawyersmom the daily rate is $30 and if it's 5 days a week I can't afford that. I have never had to get a sitter before and I can't just work nights this time around. So it's hard. If my husband gets off before me he will get my son and if I work nights he will have him. And also weekends. But they won't give me an idea of how many days or the time of day.

Ask if you can do 15 dollars if it is a half day or only a few hours. And ask if you can only pay for the days he is there

@candidbabex If I only make $300 every 2 weeks I might as well not work at that rate. That's why I was thinking a flat rate and me provide all food and juice so I can afford to buy the stuff I will need for the baby as well. And if I end up making more than expected give her a little more.
