Well with ours we started out having her only use it at naptime and bed time... after about a month, only bedtime... then after another month just took it away... was a rough 3-4 nights but after that she has been fine!
We just cut my daughter down to only using it when she was sleeping then took it away at naps and she'd only get it at bedtime then cut it out completely. But I've also heard people cut them slowly till it's nothing. But that never stopped her hha
@jamieharris808, well mine was not super attached, if she saw it typically she would want it, but if it was not in sight she would forget about it until she was sleepy, then she'd ask for it... to be honest, it's probably going to be a rough week or so, if she's that attached maybe it would be less stressful for everyone to just go cold turkey... deal with a few days/week of super grumpy kiddo and be done! When we weaned her off we only had a day or so where she was grumpy about it... we are lucky that she transitions to change pretty easily... good luck momma!
This is probably bad but my son gave his up at 4 months when he started teething and at 7 months once both teeth came through I finally got him to take it again. I know it's awful but it's one of the few things that soothes him and helps him sleep. I'm sure I'm going to regret it in aboit a year but maybe since he dropped it like it was nothing before it won't be hard to again. His binkie is my lifesaver
@amandahenry546, my daughter did the same thing! She didn't want it when she was teething and I pretty much forced it on her because it calmed her down. Now we have a binky in purses and vehicles and at work just incase she loses it. 🙄 plus I took her to the dentist yesterday and the Dentist said it has to be gone with in the next 6 months before it alters her bite 😐
My daughter had her teeth in and still wanted her binky. She ended up cutting through the binky tip so I chopped that whole end off and gave it back to her. Within a day she no longer wanted it.

@dreamermom, she is so attached to the thing. I'm at my wits end. She freaks out if she doesn't have it.
