Ok so I qualify for a vbac but my hubby wants to just do a planned csection.. do you think the Dr can just induce me and if I don't progress well then get a csection

Why does he want to do a csection?

Doctors usually do not induce for a vbac.
Your husband has no say.
If your doc says you qualify then go with it because a large majority of the time, vaginal birth is safer than a cesarean

@laciemarie I had a csection with my first but I can do a vbac if I wanted to.. we've talked about just doing a csection bc of his work schedule bc he's starting a new job and want be able to take off so we were wanting to be in and out of hospital between Thursday and Monday that way he want miss nothing but the closer it gets the more I want to try vbac..

It's not safe to be induced for vbac. There's too high a chance for uterine rupture which would result in an emergency c section and a higher risk of death. The way my Dr office did with me for my son is, I had until my due date to go into labor on my own. If I didn't or my body wasn't progressing toward labor on its own we would have scheduled a c section. My daughter was a c section and my son was a successful vbac.

@rylansmommy15 keep in mind you could go into labor before the scheduled c section date. Things don't always go as planned. I'd really go for that vbac. If his job would fire him for calling in because his child is being born, that's not a company I'd want him to work for. I hope for the best no matter your birthing choice. I hope your husband gets to be a part of it and that everything goes smoothly.
