has anyone gone on a weekend trip a few weeks out from their due date?? my boyfriends family is taking a weekend trip to the beach the first week of august. and im due august 16. he says he doesnt want to go without me but i don't know if its a good idea to go. but i definitely dont want him to miss out either. any advice??

My doctor allows travel either by plane or car until 34 weeks for a normal pregnancy. Once 34 weeks comes he wants you within 45 minutes of the hospital. Our family went on a small vacation when I was 33 weeks. I wish I would've stayed home. I was just uncomfortable and couldn't really enjoy myself. We walked a lot so my feet and ankles swelled up badly.
I would talk to your doctor. If they think it's okay and you feel good I don't see the problem. Just take it super easy and know where the closest hospital is.

Personally, I wouldn't chance it. Cause you can have baby 2 weeks early or 2 weeks late who knows. My babies tend to come 2 weeks early so I stay close to home.
