Any new moms awake I have a quick question.

What does your baby's first kick feel like?

I'd explain it kind of like gas bubbles lol (gross I know) but thats what my daughter felt like when she first starting fluttering around now she full fledge kicks me and that feels like something tryna break out of your belly 😂

Yes I'd agree with @annahasanovic, I couldn't tell the difference between baby boy and gas for a few weeks lol

I started really distinguishing it undoubtedly when she'd get to moving and my stomach would jump up in particular parts lol

No it could be uncomfortable at time but when you get farther along and little one is bigger they can kick in places harder and that could hurt

@shiningstar091680, no it shouldn't. More of just like bubbles. And eventually turns in to a little pressure but definitely shouldn't hurt

I think rib cage jabs are the only painful ones but like @miggysmommy0625 said its usually just pressure

@annahasanovic how far along were you when you first felt them?

I have an anterior placenta so I didn't get the chance to feel my daughter move around until 20-21 weeks

It's where your placenta is in the front of your uterus instead of towards the back so when she kicks she'd kick my placenta and that'd act as a barrier so I wouldn't feel them as much as someone with a normal placed placenta would

If you have a 20 week ultrasound they'll be able to tell you what kinda of placenta placement you have

my placenta is in the front. I felt flutters at 16 weeks. If I would lay on my left side and place my hand under my belly I would actually feel the little movements. almost like little rolls. nothing too serious. I felt him kick at about 20 weeks but I'm really tiny so my doctor said that could be why. Now I can actually see the imprint of his hands and feet when he pushes up or kicks. They don't hurt at all, it's more of a calming sensation. Knowing your little ones in there squirming around. It does hurt my ribs however. Doc said he's pushing them up, they feel bruised, even on the outside.

@liveforcaly i felt some rib pain last night felt like maybe a kick in the ribs and was gassy woke me up last night could it be my first

@annahasanovic, yea ribs are the exception but feel like that was later on for me almost in third trimester.

@shiningstar091680, I felt the first flutter at 14weeks but then nothing again until 16-18 weeks and couldn't tell if it was the baby or gas. Then at 20 weeks I started to tell perfectly
